This past weekend we went to Lafayette. We started our trip off with a stop by Rapides Medical Center to vistit Bryce Chapman. She made her debut on Thursday. She is beautiful with a head full of blond hair. We left there and headed south. Our first stop in Lafayette was Phares' Oysters, Seafood & Steaks. It was wonderful seafood. After that we went to Academy and shopped for our beach trip. Saturday we got up early and after Lucas slambed his thumb in the sliding glass door. We calmed him down and headed off to the zoo. They have a wonderful little zoo. All of the animals were our of there houses so we had a good time. This was Lucas' first time to really enjoy seeing the animals. After the zoo we went and visited some old friends and took a nap. That afternoon we enjoyed some more great seafood and the guys went to a ballgame. The kids, Mama and I went shopping for a little while and went back to the appartment. We had a really good weekend and unless we get a hotel that will be our last trip to Lafayette. It is very sad that we won't be able to run down for the weekend.
